Just noticed this in my browser summary "amzn_assoc", is amazon doing something, or could they just be checking pages? I have over 140 hits from it.

Interesting -- I noticed the same thing in my logs yesterday, and was wondering about it.

Oddly, the hits were on new pages that the SEs have not indexed yet that I've seen.

The visitor went straight there -- no search request, just straight in to it.

Hmmm....a further note, on looking over my logs some more:

The strange visitor *mainly* visited already-indexed pages. It mostly hit some of my book-review pages, but also some car-parts pages.

Perhaps Amazon is playing around with doing its own search engine???
