There is no way that what has happened at Google is based on algorythyms. I (and some of you) have been black balled. I have lost all my first page rankings. Some of those were, until today...

...and the list gets bigger. I come up on the first page for buy.com coupons. I went to five and six pages deep and still didnt find pages I once had on first page of search results for the above terms.

There is no way that this has happend because of algorythyms. Someone has willfully, maliciously, and unfairly knocked me (and some of you) out of the rankings. Or, some bastard connected with us, through this board, or affiliate marketing networks, i.e. jealous merchants, or competition, has done something out of spite. submitted our pages to ffa links pages or something.

This cant be happening. what can one do about this? this is so f'ed up. I have spent a lot of time on my pages. I dont understand why someone could be this mean. I'm just trying to make a little dough. My traffic has been cut down to a third of what I normally get.

I know, I posted on another thread about this earlier in the week regarding two of my sites and again this morning about the rest of my sites....

At first that is what I thought had happened, that someone was linking to me in some weird way, or that someone had falsely turned me in for doing something wrong. In fact as I was ranting this morning to my husband, he said I sounded paranoid and why on earth would someone go out of their way to sabotage all my money pages?????

So, either google is doing things very differently.....or someone is fu**ing with some of us....we won't know til more of the regulars are heard from.

No they wont. They dont work for you (you havent paid for anything), they do work for the ppl who search.

And showing a merchant site with the products someone searches for makes more sense, than bringing up a site from a publisher who will direct you to that merchant.

This might sound mean and you (I'm sure) hate it, but it kinda makes sense, no?

I'd be willing to bet that some merchants have been complaining to Google. I bet one of those dirty @$$ b*stards had us black listed. whined and complained. There is no point in continuing. I said it before, I'll say it again; the whole is bound to push the little guy out. it was never meant to be. no traffic, no sales. I am not a content person, I am a sales person. there is no point in even trying.. Overture shows bias toward affiliates who try to sell. DMOZ is biased toward affiliates, as is Looksmart and Yahoo (web directory). Now Google. I cant afford to get my site listed in PPC engines, and now all my hard work to get listed in the free searches has gone right down the drain. I wonder if the professionals through CJU have got any f--king bright ideas?

wait! I might have a solution to take away link popularity from quikserv links. If we all make javascript windows that open when some one clicks on the link, opening a new window with ad, then there is now way for the spiders to pick up on the links, right? it wouldnt be the same as opening "target_blank", it would be a javascript window that opens (not a pop up) when someone clicks on the link, and exposes the ad. the ad is not connected by hyper-links, but will open in the new window when the link is clicked. am I making sense? if all start doing it that way, the quikserv links will lose their popularity.

We've been blacklisted. I typed some of my search terms into google, and there were sites with mostly affiliate links coming up on the first, and second pages. This have nothing to do with quikserv links, and algorythyms. we've been given the shaft.

how are we linking
how many sites on the same hosting service?

all I know is that banner farms are still coming up, and even with quikserv links, on the first page of search results. My site use to be on the first page for the terms I posted above, and now I cant find any of my pages. I go about six pages deep, and nothing from site is to be found.

Spock,

all I know is my cosmetic page was, and is not anymore. there are affiliate sites with strawberry.net ads showing up on the first page, but not mine.

the affiliate sites that are showing up may only be showing up because they have not been crawled by googles robot yet since the last index

yep I had a first page rank for "viagra" & "cheap viagra" - now 8th page but not for my index and product page but a different page...the first two aren't listed anywhere anymore.....

also I had "kid freebies" was #2 and #4 for "family freebies" they're gone and the index to that site isn't in google now either.

I had #1-3 listings for several product pages, now they are so far back I haven't found them, or they are gone completely too.

this is a major major $$ setback, at least $1500-$2000 for the viagra keywords alone, lets not get into my phentermine pages that have disapeared from the index too.

????????????????????

So, again, lets figure out what we have in common that caused this. If there is some form of foul play afoot as BigChuck suggested, there is something binding all this together......

I wouldn't complain to google.. as I've learnt to my cost dealing with the taxman  it's best not to draw attention to yourself.
I'm gonna go check if googlebot has visited my sites yet since the last update.

Well, we will know soon enough since googlebots out and about.

I really don't know what is going on, but I do know that if this is how the index is going to be for the rest of this month - I'm back to earning squat!! Which really suc*s since I've worked longgggg and hard to get the rankings I achieved this last index.

what do our sites have in common? mine is way off theme, as it is all ads/shopping links. even my "coupon pages" are ads. I have crossed linked my two sites together om several pages, and have links to several of my colleagues here on the board. Between my two sites I have approximately two hundred pages. I have no automatic pop-up windows, or redirects (save quickserv links to merchants).

The first site that dropped out of the index was my freebies site, that was Monday or Tues, it just disapeared along with some magazine pages.....

I cross link my sites too.

I dont use pop-ups or redirects, save one page that the merchant deactivated and instead of building a new page for a new merchant, I just redirected to an existing one.

Most of my sites are on the same hosting service, but if that were the commonality, then the few I have on other hosts would still be in the index. Pretty much all my index pages from all my sites are gone from google!

I also link to others on this board.

any thing else in common???

we do not sell directly from our sites. at least I don't. I have a mailing list. I have a bulletin board. I have my logo with pic on my front page - I would think that would improve my search ranking, especially for cosmetics (ladies?) - lol!

my freebie site has board and mailing list.....but none of the others do,

I don't sell any merchandise directly either.

Do you crosslink your sites on every page?
