Yahoo likes backlinks as well. Usually not as picky about the quality as Google. Not sure why that is happening. Might be temporary or maybe they haven't spidered your new links yet. Google is hyper time sensitive since Caffeine.

Yahoo is such little traffic it is usually a waste of time to worry about it unless you think you can be first for a tough term.

Plus, don't forget that BING is going to be powering Yahoo search so now they are the ones you have to be concerned with.

Just optimize for google first and then submit your website and xml sitemap to yahoo site explorer afterwards. It takes a bit of time but you'll get the place you deserve in yahoo as well.

Google loves quality links , from top sites, also hate too many links at once like blogs links , on the other hand Yahoo loves links , fast links without quality or relevancy.
