Yes there has been an update. I actually like this one, as after the last one, I went from #1 for my main search term to about 100th. This was after being in the top 2 spots for about the past 5 years. I'm now 20th and moving up hopefully. For my term, it looks like they still need to clean up the results as some of the sites above me are old stores(vendio, manageauction) that are no longer in use. Just be patient and things will settle back in a month or two.

Spam for the first two pages, the same site with different domains for a VERY competitve satellite tv term. Its just gross...of course I got bumped thats what I get for trying to play with the big boys .

Yep, definite update, they finally indexed a forum that launched last month, Google and MSN got it first. Anybody know how often they have these major updates? I'm going to start keeping track, see how often they do this.

Makes no odds to me I've never had much from Yahoo, both Google and MSN are far kinder to me. Well google has been a bit nasty this last 12 months

I'm seeing pretty much what Spenser is seeing. Most of the search terms that I had before December that were in the top 5 got buried. Now I'm seeing some of them returned to the second page in the search listings. I've seen this happen the last month or two but unfortunately it only lasted a couple days for me and then they all dropped again. Maybe this time they will stay and hopefully move up to the first page. I'm only seeing a couple of sites though. The others are still nowhere to be found.

I'm sure they're not finished. For my main term, two of the top 20 sites are no longer in use. Looks like they pulled some old data out for those ones.

Hey, I've got 2 #1's for a site that is outdated, has broken links and was planning on revamping when I got a chance.
Then the sites that are updated, have "content", links that actually work and that actually look half-way decent got totally buried.

Yahoo's generally been not great but not bad for our registrations. As a user, though, the search really sunk low this past month. I used to be able to find some really great depth links, but now I get a lot of "main index page" links and much less web depth. Not very useful all of a sudden since early March.

I'm happy. Lots of Yahoo traffic on one of my sites on some good keywords.

Maybe this is a coincidence, but, I took Adwords off of my site and overnight went from being about 102 for my main kw to about 42 on YAHOO and have since gone to #6. Makes you wonder.

Hmm. To the converse of that, I have a site where the main KW ranks 2 on Yahoo and I have adSense and a Pretty Weak Site, IMHO

You know it's funny. Yahoo slashed half the traffic from one of my sites with this update but at the same time doubled traffic for another. Yahoo has some very interesting habits.

Sure if rankings go up traffic goes up and they'll click on something. But those are two different things. What happens is that some clicks that would otherwise go to merchants goes to the Adsense ads instead if they're there on the pages so it's a balance where we'd rather the traffic goes.
Adsense makes no difference at all for rankings, I've got it plastered all over all my sites.
It looks like there was another big Yahoo shift about two days ago, I experienced a big change in traffic and a couple of pages that dropped down in April are back up. There's too much difference to be a minor fluctuation, and it looks like a bit of an algo change - but nothing to do with Adsense.

My vote for the "nothing to do with AdSense". Lost traffic on a site in April, removed AdSense, no difference.

I am definitely seeing some changes in Yahoo results - but only in the last couple of days!
