It is matter of convenience.
These are not data feeds (which are free!) they are HTML pages that are categorized into the correct breakdowns of which items go with which group.
I don’t believe anyone could layout this type of website from scratch in less than several days, and without knowing this industry there would be many errors. 
As of this time 11 copies have been requested.
As for paying a merchant to promote their program??? Time is money
Well what would your time be worth? $75 to save about 30-40 hours of work – is your time worth more than $2 per hour? 
We have had affiliates get paid as much as $147 for ONE sale. 
This is not for everyone it will appeal to a certain type of affiliate.
PS:your comment about your ass was unwarranted!

$75 doesn't sound that expensive, albeit something I wont be using, I can think of 2 sources that charge around $100 for a similar service and Webmerge would cost you around $80 + time. It WILL appeal to a certain kind of affiliate!

First of all JJJ may have mis-understood what the template is.
It is not a Datafeed in any way shape or fashion.
It is 2550 links to each of the product groups, you never need to update a database your always drawing from our current data via the links.

The template has 155 pages all laid out which can be implemented as a stand-alone web site or a subfolder within a web site.
You only need to do a global find replace for headers, banners and your affiliate ID# thru perhaps FrontPage or Dreamweaver editor as an example.
What one must consider is how long would it take to layout, cut and past 2500 links and make 155 pages (BY the correct CATEGORY) and be correctly accessing our 43,000 products?
We believe that couldn’t be accomplished for $75 worth of your time and aggravation.
If that were the case why pay 79 for webmerge you can do that yourself as well. (By the way that is great software for our Datafeed)
So yes “It WILL appeal to a certain kind of affiliate” not much of anything appeals to everybody.

The demo is fine.... what kind of sales do other sites have?
What's the commission of sale?

I can't state what others are making.
But I have posted some info along those lines in our forum HERE.
You can get sales into the $1500-$2000 range several have done so on a single order.
The commission is 9% with a 90 Day return cookie
