Currently, one of my sites sells over 100 different electronic products using Paypal as the shopping cart.

I desperately need to automate the delivery mechanism, using email is killing me.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I could/should handle this?

    Thanks

    John

I use eSellerate for processing orders of my own software. You can get it automatically delivered after purchase. However, setting up 100 products would take some time. Probably save you loads though in the long run.

Use clickbank's platform for selling virtual stuff . They have everything from credit card acceptance to setting up your own affiliate program ...

IMHO , The commission you will be paying for the service is worth it

Kagi.com or 2checkout.com, I use 2checkout.com and I'm very happy with them, customer service sucks though.

Since you've already got paypal set up - use their IPN service... They notify your website at a location you specify of a payment, using a published API (and SSL if you prefer). Your script (at the specified location) does the automated delivery of the software/download url/product key/etc...

    FFoc,

Have you done this? It is a bit beyond my ability and I may need some help.

    Thanks

Go look at their IPN code samples (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/websc...l/rec/ipn-code)..

You can also find many third-party scripts that handle Paypal IPN - I know I've seen at least one which does exactly what you're looking for at hotscripts.com

And yes, I am in the process of setting it up for a subscription service on a client website.
