Question About Google Desktop Index Files

Hoping someone here might have an answer.
Two Google Desktop files are taking up more than 14 gigs of space and I thinking I might be able to safely delete at least one of them. The files are:
rpm1m.cf1 - 7.1 gigs
rpm.cf1 - 6.9 gigs
Are these duplicate files and if so, can I safely delete one of them?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you can just delete them with out any problems. Buy you can try re-indexing your computer with the google desktop app. Once started, and the computer STARTS to index - see if the files shrink. If they do, then just stop and disable the indexing.
