Another warning to check the Links Sent by Merchants in Newsletters
    - I was just about to change a few links on my site with ones sent by a merchant for their Valentine's Day promotions when I caught a glimpse of the link I was about to remove and compared it to the one I was about to replace it with. The link in the newsletter does NOT contain MY affiliate code. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I was very happy to notice this before switching links. This has been brought up at ABW before - just a friendly reminder to everyone to check links sent to you by merchants and make sure YOUR affiliate code is in it before adding it to your site.
    Peace,

They've been using my code and paying me for your traffic and sales.

    Thanks sweetie.

    Thanks Rexanne,

Glad you saw that before you posted the links on your site.

You know, you have to wonder how often affiliates post these links without noticing that their aff id isn't included.

    Thanks again,

    You're very welcome.

I'm sure I blindly added links from newsletters hundreds of times in the past. No wonder they don't "convert." LOL

It was a Performics merchant. I am waiting to hear back from the merchant to find out WTF - It's also entirely possible that I don't know what my Pfx ID is - it's not exactly easy to figure out.

Meanwhile, I didn't add those links to my site after seeing that the last 5 or 6 numbers in the newsletter links did not match anything in the current links on my pages from that merchant.

You do have to be careful. This has happened to a number of merchants I'm affiliated with but I always double check to ensure that it's my affiliate id that is being included within the linking code.
