    They are a merchant.

They own every site. They have a mega-ton of products and they have an ever-growing number of sites. Many of the products are offered on more than one site - where ever they might fit.

It is an extremely well-run program, with great support. Their products stay in stock, most products have free shipping, they are priced competitively, and their sites have minimal down time. I do very well with them.

There are other merchants set up the same way, but none that I've seen are in the same league. Take a look at Shopping Warehouse, also on SAS, for example. In late 2006, I spent several weeks of work adding their products, and it was a disaster. Products sold out, had non-competitive high prices, high shipping charges, no support, etc. A few months later I found CSN and its like night and day.

Of the 250 or so merchants I work with, they are are in the top 5.

I just want to support what Affiliatehound just said. They own all of their sites and they have a tremendous support team, especially Brent who is the affiliate manager at CSN.

I want to encourage you to email Brent and open up talks regarding his programs, I am sure he could shed some light on areas you prefer to market.

You're right about similarities. I'm sure (pretty sure?) they are unrelated companies, however.

I've got some stuff up with netshops. It took me awhile to get any of it figured out, but netshops has a pretty nice dynamic datafeed tool. (I don't know it well enough to teach anyone about it -- check out the netshops forum here and the netshops support people for that!)

I've had a few sales with netshops and a few sales with csn. I like 'em both quite a lot.

Netshops is an in-house program and they have a forum here.

They were next on my list if CSN had not worked out, so I never looked too deeply into their program, but they seem to have a lot of programming tools for their affiliates.

NetShops and CSN compete head to head. Both operate niche specific stores that number in the hundreds. I think I remember that NetShops emerged first in the news (not sure who was actually first) a few years ago, but have seen reports saying CSN passed NetShops in total sales about a year or year and a half ago.

NetShops is in-house (customized direct track) and CSN is a SAS Exclusive merchant. In my opinion, being a SAS Exclusive merchant with Brent at the helm has several key advantages - search ABW and you can find those - they center on policing parasites, policing trademark ppc, escrowing affiliate funds, tracking and reporting features, datafeed access and a few other lesser points.

CSN was just nominated for an award at the upcoming Affiliate Summit:
    http://blog.affiliatetip.com/archive...ard-finalists/

In addition, CSN has certain policies concerning coupons that affect their affiliates - some affiliates will find it favors them, and some will find the opposite - learn more about the affiliate perspective on CSN's coupon policies here:
    http://www.jangro.com/a/2008/01/15/n...at-csn-stores/

I suggest you work with them both and see what works best for you. Because they have so many stores, you may find differences in your niche that lead to you one over the other. If both are new to you, for the reasons I mentioned above, I suggest trying CSN first.

    Good luck!

I would check the front pages of the stores you are considering promoting. I'm sure those are some of the best sellers...

Donuts, thanks for the advice. I'm always amazed how much I can learn from the veterans at ABW.

Here it is. I used stats from the past year(Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2007). I didn't include any stores that had under 300 clicks. The stores that are bolded had over 2000 affiliate clicks, giving you a larger sample size to go off of.
