    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22788914/

Just watched one of his movies the other day. The one who starred in Brokeback Mountain, played The Joker in the upcoming Batman movie, Dark Knight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heath_Ledger

    Wow that's surprising.
Liked him and his movies. He seemed more stable than so many others so it really comes out of left field.
I was looking forward to his role in Dark Knight.

Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!

    Gonna go cry now.

It's O.K. Rex, you still got gorgeous ME!!! yee - hah!!

I watched A Knights Tale probably 10 times over the past 4 years. Loved the movie and really liked Ledger in Patriot. Never know what's hurting in someone's life. May he rest in peace.

I know, I saw this last night and it was such a shock. Especially since he seemed like such a devoted dad to his little girl. I would be pretty surprised if it weren't accidental.

First heard about it on the news while driving home from work. It completely shocked me, and then finally as the shock wore off, I was truly saddened as if I had really known him. May he Rest In Peace, and my blessings go out to those who survive him.

My son and I watched A Knight's Tale frequently. I somehow misplaced the DVD recently and have it in my Amazon shopping cart. I may try the unboxed and download and watch it.

Think it's very sad, too. When I heard he had pnuemonia it really made me feel bad that nobody was there with him to take care of or least try to make him feel better. Very, sad his life ended so early.

I was shocked and sad to hear this news yesterday. His movie 10 Things I Hate About You was one of my favorites. It makes you remember to live life to the fullest.

This is very very sad. One of my favorite movies to watch over and over again was 10 Things I hate about you. I feel deeply saddened and so sorry for his family and especially his daughter. I can only imagine the world of hurt she is and will go through.

I was reading this thread yesterday, and wasn't really going to post, because I am sure majority of us are deeply saddened by the incident, but I saw something today on FoxNews that infuriated me and thought I would share.

Kansas Baptist Church Intends to Picket Heath Ledger's Funeral Because He Played Gay Character

A radical Baptist church in Kansas known for picketing the funerals of soldiers who perished in Iraq said it intends to protest Heath Ledger's memorial service with signs claiming the actor died and is in Hell because he played a gay character in “Brokeback Mountain.” .. more ..

Yeah, I was waiting for that sort of thing to rear it's ugly head. I'm sure that he had to listen to a great deal of hate after taking on that role.

That group truly puts the issue of free speech to the test doesn't it? Idiots have no compassion at all.
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

The guy in Kansas is not worth fretting over. His response to this tragedy is entirely predictable and in character. He's infuriating but he's just another attention-grabbing religious nut with a bizarre fixation on homosexuality.

If he makes you cringe you're in good company.

What people spew in the name of religion gives religion a bad name.

I'd SO love to see their fate when they come before "their" god and he/she sits in judgment of them. Payback's a b*tch
