    Hi All

I have noticed on the boards and by browsing through LS, CJ and BF etc that hotel booking programs and the like offer very low commissions, sometimes as low as 1%, low return days (30 or less) and yet everyone seems happy with this? Why is this please?

    Cheers

    Chris

    1) The independent programs are much better.

    2) For the network programs you get to ride on major players enormous branding expenditures. People highly trust expedia, travelocity, orbitz, etc and are willing to make expensive purchases with them. While you might not get many sales, these are some of the few affiliate deals where you can get commissions just by "throwing-up some banners."

    > Travel and vacation services are the most purchased services online.

    > We understand that profit margins are pretty low for the service prodividers, as well.

    > When you increase the sales volume, choose right service providers, you make pretty good money, usually better than 1%.

    Hello Chris,
The better programs are all independent.
And some have a level structure the more reservations you sell the higher the commision.
    To name some
    Asia:
    PlanetHoliday (.com) Structure payment
    Thailand:
    R24 (.org) Pays 5-10%
    Worldwide:
Bookings (.org) Based in Holland Structure payment
Travelnow (.com) Best for USA Market 5-10% (i believe)
PriorityPartner (.com) Best for Vegas! 6%
    Expedia (.com) (5% i believe)
    Lodging (.com) (5% i beleive)
    Onetravel (.com) (5% i beleive)
    AAnHotels (.com) (5% i believe)

There is one other Bangkok based company, covering the Asian market very well, but they are crooks!

For Vegas you also have Travelworm, recently they joint CJ but i have no experience with them.

All except Expedia are also Parasite free!

If you want more info give me your email address.

    Greetings
    Pete

    Thanks Guys

Yea their are several crooked ones running from Bangkok/SEA, the main one that springs to Mind is AsiaRooms.com (+ roughly 150 sub sites), stay away is all I'll say on that.

A lot of hotels will reject bookings made by these guys and similar sites now a days.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Yep..!
They are the ones to avoid. (aka Asiavoyage24)
They closed 2 heavy weight accounts i had with them, asking way, got the simple answer that i had removed their links...
    (accounts had over $$$$ inside)

Seems that they now run those expensive sponsored listings on google for most major cities in the States.

    About these crooks....

Aren't you going to do anything about it?

I was a bit outraged to read about it, you had $$$ with them and they simply shut your acct down?

Curious to know if there's anything we can do about these kinds of thieves!!!

    Chris-
Happy to answer any questions you have about us or competitors as far as I can if you want to send pm, email or call (that may be more difficult from home base)

margins are shorter in travel and we have collections to deal with is the short answer to percentages

    To clarify a bit MoneyChaser,
It was not me alone who had problems, at least 4 other people who promote Hotels in Asia had the same problem. Go figure that i visted their office in Bangkok Last November. The operation is run by 3 French guys. From what i learned visiting their operation their working procedure and the way they handled the affilaite part, is to be very carefull joining programs who have not a real affiliate manager in place.
I learned my lesson the hard way. No i will not try to get my money, but i follow the google serps in Asia daily and if i see an affiliate site popup promoting the above mentioned operation i warn them.

a google search on: "bruno asiarooms" will tell the same story!

They owe us money for Dev work, we eventually got 3 posted dated cheques for about 75% of the money covering 6 months... I was suprised when they all went through.

    Cheers
