    Where's EcomCity Mike?
I know I haven't been here as much as I wish I was but I noticed Mike hasn't posted since Sept 20. Did I miss something?

The phone--actually the informal for "telephone"--is both a mostly-obsolete, dubious, communications device and simultaneously a portal that sends its users unpredictably to Heaven or Hell. Until the invention of Caller ID there was no way to even guess which place you'd end up in if you dared pick it up while it made a characteristic beckoning sound commonly known as "ringing."

Even when using it to make other people's phones "ring," and you know those people, it is still dubious as to where the portal will take you. The "mood" of the other person often determines that, rather than anything under the control of the phone-user.

Although the phone is at the very end of its obsolescence cycle now, at the time of its invention it revolutionized communications especially when used by distant parties to talk to each other. It soon replaced its predecessor, known as "letter writing," which had not only required paper and pens/s, but also horses (later trucks) and personnel to deliver.

Currently makers of phones have managed to keep them in production by making them extremely portable, but it's likely just a matter of time before the technology is completely mothballed in favor of email and as-yet-uninvented "future tech."

Leader... This one reminds me of some rambling logic I've thrown at this board over the years. I couldn't figure out the reasoning for getting banned for the second time in 2007, so I put the whole forum on ignor. Seemed logical as most of the board had me on ignor....

Meanwhile I tackled some web building projects for a few new merchant clients to prove to myself this old dog could still design sites that actually generated immediate sales. Then my health went south requiring some emergency surgery for a complete bowel obstruction... ugh!

Got Andy's call today telling me not to be a stranger at ABW and stop lurking the forum. Obviously he was getting bored without the Mike/Charlie controversal chatter or just stuck on advising affiliates on new ways to push coupon cookies. He knows I secretly control placement of all coupon SERPs and PPCSE fees from a secret office within the Ann Arbor Googleplex. They give me an old rotary dial phone so I can't speed dial any super affiliates.
    Webmaster's... Mike and Charlie

The ban issues were for over the top (Nah not you! LOL) racist and discriminatory postings, hopefully we won't have to go there again. PLEASE!

Glad to see you back, Mike. Missed your posts. As for the bowel thing - been there, done that. It's fun doing the happy dance after every successful BM.

Mike, sorry to hear about the health problems and hope those are behind you. Have to say I was disappointed that it was business and nature keeping you occupied. Was hoping it was due to taking a campaign manager job for one of the presidential candidates.
