    Where is everyone staying?
Yeah, Yeah, I am little late to the game, but that's my nature. I am always a last minute booker. Anyhow, I went to the Rio today, and the group rate ended on the 25th so I am looking at a couple other hotels right there in that area of the strip .. the Palms, Bellagio, Ceasars, Monte Carlo (yes I know it was on fire .. lol), Mirage, Bally's .. Ect, ect ..

Bally's would be good because they have a free shuttle between Rio and themselves.

Anyhow, where is everyone staying this year?

    Just yours Billy ..

I did read this book for my business book club last year that actually recommended sitting outside people's hotel rooms that you wanted to meet .. maybe I will take that approach .. wouldn't that be odd for affiliates to walk out of their rooms and a heard of managers/opms are sitting in the hallway .

Er... I'll be staying at "an undisclosed location"

Funny but true: Sue, Vegas is still a Wild West Town. You can legally walk down the street with a loaded firearm - as long as it's not concealed. Scary, eh??

    My answer's a lyrical riddle...

Team Schaaf will be representing at the Rio. But I would take Bally's if they have the free shuttle. You do not want to worry about cabbing it or heaven forbid walking to the hotel every day. I couldn't believe how cold it was in Vegas last year!

Last year we stayed at TI, which was OUTSTANDING (loved the buffet and cirque de sole, sp? thanks for the tours .. you know who you are), and walked and cabbed it in January. It really wasn't too bad, but it would be convenient ....

After much thought I took the tip BillyK gave in this post .

Although Loxly didn't give it a good review, I figured I could blow my budget on a room at the Rio, that I'll be in for about 6-7 hours a night or have some extra cash to enjoy the experience.

On the maps the GoldCoast looks like it is between the Palms and the Rio so I should have easy access to the conference and the parties at the Palms.

I booked at the Monte Carlo (before the fire). It looks like it'll reopen well before the Summit. (My guess is in less than a week.) Even if it doesn't reopen in time, they're accommodating guests in their other properties, which are all comparable or better. I'll have a rental car and I don't drink, so I don't mind being off site - especially since it was almost half the price (through Priceline).

I'm not going to West this year. And, I hear this more than a little out of the way, but I would like some locals opinions on that newer property, Red Rock.

When I was in Vegas a couple of years back, we went to the park and had a wonderful time looking at all of the nature there (Red Rock Canyon).

Hell, a good gift for me is if you and your hubby can give me a better hosting plan than I have now...

No need to camp out side my room ~ besides, you'd have to walk 2 miles for that anyways.

    I'll even pay YOU ! ...... ~ Lemme Know !!
