Question on opening international banking account in US
I do a lot of US business and just started UK. Now I am starting getting payments (checks & wires) in GB and I sort of want it remain that way without any conversion, etc.

Anyone opened an international banking account in US? I need advices (where, how, etc).

    Thanks!!

Perhaps you could ask your UK networks to pay via Paypal?

As Mr Mackin has suggested, you probably want to look at an international bank like HSBC or Citibank as in England they will not open an account for you distantly (you must walk in).

Glad to see you posting, Elena. ;-)

Are you looking to have an account in the US that will hold GBP? Not sure you can do that. You can open international banking accounts in the respective countries while living in the US. but there can be repatriation issues with the funds.

I would talk to an accountant and a financial consultant at your bank.

I'm based in the UK and have a Dollar account and a Euro account with my UK High Street bank. It's a pain setting them up but it can be done.

HSBC will hold funds in multiple currencies without being asked, the other day I received some GBP and the HSBC opened an GBP account within my main account without being asked

    Cheers

Hi, You were given a right advice above - in HSBC UK you can open account in any currency after GBP for free.
If you are interested, we can intro you to HSBC UK so you get personal or business account in a short time with no hassle.

Maybe you just need to receive ACH from USA? We can offer very cheap and reliable debit cards you can receive ACH to, without opening US bank account.
