Manufacturer, Merchant, AM, or all of the above
    Hi guys,

Got something that i would just like to bounce off you lot.

I have a line of products here that i could manufacture myself. I also have an existing manufacturer for this line of products, a good one as well.

Now, obviously, i've got options on how to go about selling this line of products.

    • Do I manufacture and give it to an AM to sell? Nah, too much intial capital required.
    • Do I create my own website(s) and promote this productline? Possibly.
    • Do I have a stab at outsourcing it and be the middleman? Dont know.
    • Do I create a Affiliate Program for it and hand it to one of the networks? A tiny, micro one maybe.

Btw. Already discussed commisions with the manufacturer.

You wouldn't "hand it" to a network. If you want to have an affiliate program to help drive traffic and sales to your site, you would need to actively manage that, or outsource it. A network isn't set up to "do it all", and if they do, will you be happy with the results?

First thing, decide if you are going to sell the product, second start selling it, third, if your site converts at selling it, think about starting that affiliate program.

    Just my thoughts....

Ditto on every thing Loxly said....

If you haven't tried selling the items on a website yet, then wait on starting any affiliate program until you have figured how to best convert sales on your site, before asking affiliates to promote your products.

    Thanks Loxly for your reply.
Have decided already that I am going to do something with their products. I also think that to take it the "slow" way would be the best way.

    Thanks
