Only 3 Days a Week at Day Job Now!!!
As some of you might remember last year I made the decision to reduce my day job from 5 to 4 days. This year I made a similar move and cut back from 4 to 3.

What a difference! 3 days is the minimum to keep health and long-term disability benefits, so unless I become hugely successful this is as low as I can move. But I feel so free!

I truly could not have done it without all I've learned from you guys. Thank you so much.

Congtaz aunt lily. I think you are moving towars the right direction.

From what i know, one of the most expensive item for an affiliate is insurance - benefits. I guess when you get there.. U do not need to worry about that.

Congratulations! That, indeed, is a big move.

The next step is just a little further down the road. Don't worry, it WILL happen. One day you'll get to the point when you realize that the "day j*b" is actually hurting the growth of your business.

I use to love my day j*b as a teacher. The last four years I was able to cut down to a 1/2 time position (keeping bennies) - I worked with elementary children in a computer lab (waht else?) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - every other Thursday I did techie stuff for the principal. It was a great situation and the kids were great. But after doing my 2006 taxes I realize the "fun" of staying at the school was stunting the growth of the "fun" of doing my own thing. I bailed out last year and things have been going and growing just fine.

So, go for it when it feels right for you. Good Luck!

Awesome! I predict that within a year, you'll be totally free of the day j*b.

I'm making preparations myself. I've been researching costs for comparable health insurance plans to what I have now at the day j*b. It's understandable sticking around to do the minimum just for those benefits. What I get for nearly free at work costs a pretty penny to buy individually, but actually less than I expected it to be!

Keep us posted! And put all that new free time to good use growing your business.
