Is Linkshare's merchant directory really searchable??
I got no luck in finding anything when I search for merchant by using their 'FIND A MERCHANT BY NAME'. Even though the merchant (e.g. Overstock) is just in their, I still got ZERO result. I am wondering if linkshare's directory is really searchable or not.

I've never used that, always thought the LS search was the worst. I've always just clicked Join Programs, then All Categories and scrolled to find the ones I wanted to join. They'll all show up that way.

Yeah, i noticed a few bugs. like in the mail system. But its a huge improvement and timing seems interested to annouce this after PepperJam's network launch.

Well that kind of improvement had to be planned awhile back before the Pepperjam launch. I think it was just time for them and more reaction to actual competitors (not PJ) and losing some big merchants, Target to Performics, Dell to CJ etc. And Performics getting more and more merchants because of the tie to Google now. That kind of thing. Whatever gets them going, good for everybody.

good point Trust. LS value is in keeping the big merchants in there program. Part of that is making affiliate side upgrades.

Jangro did a nice review on the new interface

There are definitely bugs in Linkshare's find a merchant search, but any merchant in which you have already joined will not come up through that search feature. Are you already a member of Overstock's affiliate program?

no, I'm not affiliated with overstock yet. When I search for the keyword 'overstock', I got nothing. I know overstock is just somewhere in their directory.

I like LinkShare but finding merchants through their system is an absolute bear.

Have you recently or any time in the past applied to Overstock's affiliate program?

"I've always just clicked Join Programs, then All Categories and scrolled to find the ones I wanted to join."

Just do that, it's in alphabetical order, easy.

You'd be surprised how often people don't mention everything because they don't realize that it may be relevant.

Here is the affiliate signup link from Overstock.com.

That link is getting me a Linkshare sign up. It might eventually lead to Overstock but if he's already in LS, just do the other way.

Use their new interface - I have no issues finding any merchants in it.
