    File Rename....
I got my self in a jam.

I got basically two websites w/ the same name and very different content.

One is http://www.stevesapparel.com/NFL.html and the second is the same w/o the www. in it. I'm stumped. I checked the file directories and I checked to be sure nothing was misspelled yada yada yada....

How do I switch the url to http://www.stevesa... from http://stevesapp... ?

    any help ?

It depends on how your hosting provider is setup. I know some providers give access to yourdomain.com and some only give access to www.yourdomain.com. Since that is under their control, I would put your problem in that same category.

You may want to get in touch with them to start.

I know that godaddy allows you to forward requests to yourdomain.com to www.yourdomain.com. Would that solve your situation?

    Yup ask your host.

One of my hosts allows you to choose which one you want to use or if you want to use both (not recommended)

My other host automatically makes it yourdomain.com but www.yourdomain.com will redirect.

Well I'm not sure here. I never thought of that.

I was http://wwwstevesapp... all along then after I added/ modded some code, I now have both.

I just can't seem to find where the index.html {Or anything else} only recognises the http://stevesappp.... and not the http://www.stevesapp....

OK. Next question, If I were to ftp it as one would that cause it to disregard the other ?

I think Steve is expert on this ??

I have no Idea what I did. Hmmm....

I'm wondering if you have updated/changed something in 2 different ways. That is to say have you changed programmers or are 2 different people updating the same site?

Just something I have seen in the past. (A.K.A. something I did as a screw up before!)

If expert = "many prior mistakes", I'm an expert!

    Thanks.

Your DNS is pointing to five different IP addresses at the same time...
You're going to have to figure out Where they're being served. There was no cname or alias in DNS for www, so it would have to be redirection or domain name settings in the hostheader on the (one of the) server(s) where your sites are hosted. The multiple IPs may just be routing to the same server.

Your comments are always welcome. Thank you.

Steve. I seem to be the king of many prior "Experiments" & "Mistakes". I think I was even a mistake bro. ~ Was that OT ?

Programmers. Yes I made the changes the first time my self. The programmer misspelled a directory cuz I screwed up and did not bother to tell him what the names were supposed to be. A major 3am DUHHHHH ! on my part.

Yes me and another guy was editing it. His is http://stevesapparel.com/nhl2.html and mine is http://www.stevesapparel.com/NHL.html that I tried to change the name to http://www.stevesapparel.com/NFL.html.... Now I have 2 web pages w/ exactly the same name, 1 has content and the other is a blamed shell. the www. version has the content and wont show up when you click NFL in the nav bar and the others that are blank http://stevesapp... pages do show up.

Ahhh... Bummer bro. I need to move to New Jersey.
