I have established a number of relationships with merchants that will enable me to place a pixel on their "Thank you for your order" pages. I would like to put Google AdWords conversion tracking code on these pages. The complete code looks like:

<!-- Google Code for lead Conversion Page -->
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
var google_conversion_id = XXXXXXXXXX;
var google_conversion_language = "en_US";
var google_conversion_format = "1";
var google_conversion_color = "666666";
if (1) {
var google_conversion_value = 1;
var google_conversion_label = "lead";
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion.js">
<img height=1 width=1 border=0 src="http://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/XXXXXXXXXX/imp.gif?value=1&label=lead&script=0">

We have tried to use just the 1x1 img at the end:

However, that doesn't seem to be tracking in AdWords.

I've been told about an ximg which might enable me to have the entire code run.

Does anyone have any insights into this?
