I got an idea? As most of us know that incomming links is the majority of the ranking algortyhm.
There are 50,000 members, so what if got everybody got together and created a new site for just abestweb link partners.
Basically it would work like this:
We need to create a list of all abestwebers that are interested:
Then we break down the list and have each affiliate to link to 10 abestweber sites.
For an example: let say we have 360 people interested. Each newly create site would link to 10 sites. Once there are 36 sites out there that would complete the circle and as more affiliates join, the circle would get bigger thus increasing everyone's link pop.
Anyone interested?Jason Bishop

Too many unknowns for me. Bad neighbourhoods, link relevance, PR of inbound links and so on... No offense but what you are sugggesting is not much different from a link farm but in this case, you know the other people (sort of).

Sorry, but link schemes are an old idea--and, it's gray/black hat SEO.
With black hat it's like this: heck yeah that kind of thing works when done right; if you do it right you're goin' to Disneyworld, but it also has high risks--in this case, heavy SERP penalization upon detection, penalization which may not go away. And, since it's an old strategy, it WILL BE detected, and probably more toward sooner than later. (It also means that a public thread on a popular forum isn't how to set it up Public linking schemes stop working really fast, and a lot of them never *start* working.)
I've got no problems with the idea of forcing a certain extremely-Spitzer-like engine to bow, but I wouldn't want you to get penalized by doing something you didn't seem to be aware of being a Risky Strategy.
Also there is one "technical" hitch you're missing:
A new site has no power behind its links. Neither will 360 of them. In order to make a linkpop scheme work, somebody'd have to be willing to hitch an established site to the pile of ban-bait (what Goof patronizingly refers to as a "bad neighborhood").
Another thing is, the linking pattern won't be right. 360 brand-new sites suddenly linking to each other is obviously NOT natural, and Goof's algo is finally able to figure that much out. G is still far from genius, but you'd need to pay a lot more attention to detail than your post suggests.
I'll leave it at that. Have fun cracking the Internet's greatest puzzle...the G Algo. Just remember that G is also the world's biggest "casino," and the House is a sore loser!

It will not do any good to your website ranking. Probably will not do any major improvement to your website traffic as well.
I happed to know this very closely because we are about to launch a new product that its core algorithm handle with those issues.
