    Do old pages die?
So, I redid a website and changed the link structure..

We went from xxx.com/old/page to xxx.com/new/page

When I submit a new sitemap to Google, will google simply delete the old page, even if it is indexed? Or, will it see the new page as duplicate content and penalize the whole thing?

    Thanks

If your old pages go to a 404 they should be deleted.

It they are still a 200 when requested you might have problems. I not sure.
