    Lightbulb Wii Sports Bowling!!
Hey, does anybody here have or play the wii?? If so, I've had one for a quite a bit now, and I have not yet discovered how to consistantly bowl well. I'm totally rocking at the baseball and can hit practically anything now, but the bowling sometimes its a 249 and then the next game is a 160. Let me know if you've got some super secret.... I'll let you know how to rock at baseball!

Brahmb82 - Welcome to the boards.

You have to keep the wii controller slightly turned inwards by about 5 degrees, and aim for the 3-4th pin on the right.

    what's your tip for baseball?

    Talking Baseball for Bowling
Ya, I try doing that, but sometimes it hurts my shoulder, so im trying to find a more consistant (non painfull) way of playing.

Ok, in terms of baseball, heres how i do it.

    a) really truly hold the remote like a bat and get into full batting stance. I do a manny ramirez kind of stance.

    b) i find that i wait for a moment about halfway through the pitch and swing fast and parallel to the ground with a full follow through

    c) lastly, i keep the bat 'dead still' when im not swinging so as to be fully ready at any moment in time, and this also keeps my swing more consistant.

Thanks for the bowling tips!! mii hope you have fun wii'ing!! ;-)

i suck at wii baseball so thanks for the tip! my timing is always incredibly off.

For bowling, it's just what buyjewelry said. First I move a little to the right, then I turn the remote inwards a little as I bowl to get the hook.

I love Wii bowling! That is my favorite game! My best game was 258. Once I find the perfect spot I continue to bowl there.

Baseball... that is a whole different game. I am terrible. I hardly ever hit the ball.

I love golf on the wii,

I once got a sore shoulder playing tennis on the wii too. I told everyone the next day that I had a sore shoulder from playing tennis... I didn't tell them it was on the wii!

Bowling is fun to... I'll try the tip as I'm not that great at bowling.

Despite the ads, you don't actually need to stand up and make giant swinging motions with your controller. You can very well sit down and just flick your wrist and get the same result. I find that finding a nice in-between is best. I like the physical benefit of getting off the couch, but I'm not keen on sore shoulders and arms

I've just arrived in Houston to visit family, and my sister has a Wii - so I'm looking forward to more games Last time we were here, over the holidays, we got addicted.

I love Wii bowling! I had 8 friends over for dinner on my birthday last year and after a few glasses of wine we played Wii Bowling - it's the funnest thing!

My tip is to move 2 clicks to the right and then put a little bit of left spin on it (only one or 2 clicks), and then bowl straight.

works like a charm every time!

My trick for bowling is to inch over to the right between the 1st and 2nd little lines on the floor then I throw the ball as fast as I can. It's not always consistent, but I do get a few strikes that way.

I'm playing the new Smash Bros Brawl online now, fun stuff!! Anybody want to challenge me?

I don't have one but I have played before. You guys should put together an ABW bowling contest. Post camera/screen shots with your ABW handle as your player name. Whoever gets the highest score gets a custom ABW Bowling Champ 2008 t-shirt. That would be soooo cool. Someone here could design it. Another could fund it possibly with a sponsor logo on one side.

I think the "secret" to Wii bowling is to play like you play at a bowling alley. If your ball normally hooks to the let, move the cursor to the right, etc. Just like you line up at a bowling alley to compensate for your hook (if any).

Mario Strikers Charged is another great game and allows for online play.

Let me know if any of you wii'ers have it, and we can play

I just got my first taste of Smash Bros this weekend and I'm hooked. I'm ready to bust some heads online. You still game?

Another idea would be to have an ABW Mii design contest.
