My site recently got indexed into Google for multiple keywords. How do I know exactly ALL the keywords/phrases that my site is listed for? I could use WebPosition Gold to run the reports but I would have to input all the keywords that I want to search for. The problem is I don't know all the keywords the site would come up for. My site has many pages so there could be quite alot of possible keywords/phrases.

Anyone know the best way to determine ALL the keywords/phrases a site gets listed for?

    Regards,

    Dylan

I know this isn't the answer you want but the best way is from your server logs. BTW you may want to reconsider sending any kind of bot to search through googles listings to find your site. I did that once and google blocked me for a good six months.

This should be something you can do with your site stats. Check the referring urls.

    Don't use WebPosition Gold

You probably would get listed for all keywords and phrases you can come up with, but the only ones that count are the ones getting you traffic.

    > I was kind of surprised to see Google say not to use WebPosition Gold even for checking rankings. That seems a bit harsh..is Google the "Soup Nazi"?

    > Possibly, but I use alot of PPC keywords and they show in my WebTrends stats. I guess that I will just have to manually figure out ALL the keywords in the web stats and then input them into WebPosition Gold despite their "guidelines."

I think that's what WebPosition Gold is - a sort of bot. I also think the main issue with using it is not to use it too much.

While I think it's unnecessary to know this data, it's also impossible to determine because it's endless:

    red washed discount widget
    washed red widget discount
    discount washed red widget
    widget discount washed red

    etc...
