Do you guys create more than one account?
    Hello,

I am thinking about making another Adwords account along with my main one.

Is this something normal and that people do often?

    Thanks,
    Matt

For what purpose? What would your reasoning be? Other people may have their own experiences, but why are you considering it?

    well
the reason would be so I could create ads that go to different sites but that are similar to ones I am already doing.

This way I could use similar keywords that I know are working already.

    Thanks,
    Matt

I'm not to familiar with that situation but wouldn't that cause you to be bidding up your own keywords?

So basically you'd be doing it to try to get around Google's rules.

If you can't learn to profit from AdWords by following the rules, don't expect to do much better by breaking them. And if you get caught, you could be permanently banned. Is that a risk you're willing to take?!

As Ghoti pointed out, I believe Google frowns upon such things, regardless of the users intent.

Okay... but I'm not sure why you can't do that within one account. You can create variants of your ads and run multiple campaigns from one account, so... fill in the blank. What would having a separate account gain you?

He wants to bid on the same keyword to different sites, you can't do that with the same account. I'm sure there are people out there that have multiple accounts to get around the rules but not something I would do since you're risking an all out ban from Adwords if they catch you.

Ahhhh I see... okay, I wasn't looking at it from that angle. Thanks, Trust.

Yeah, I can see why G would frown on that

I am going to agree to the rest of the responds and say...that looks like SPAMMING..ON YOUR OWN SELF..

Google is built on relevance...that said...not sure how long that will last ...

Yeah, Ghoti is right. Google will permanently ban you if you're caught. Not really worth the risk considering AdWords' audience and reach!

Plus, like FixSor mentioned - you'd basically be competing against yourself, and in a way, doing search spamming, so it sounds like in this scenario, you'd be trying to outbid yourself and, in the process, raising the prices of your own PPC campaigns. Not to mention - if you create a brand new AdWords account, won't your new account need a lot of time and require higher initial bid prices to establish an all-new history and all-new Q.S. with Google?

It's been a while since I've used Google PPC, but what about just downloading your current campaigns and settings as a .csv file, tweaking your keywords, phrases, ad copy, and bid prices a little, and then uploading your improvements as a new campaign within your existing AdWords account? I did that before for several dating campaigns i managed PPC campaigns for years ago with positive results and without ruffling any feathers with Google...
