Wonderful. I'm starting to learn how to use those Avantlink datafeeds, and I have one site which incorporates a merchant's SAS datafeed AND another merchant's Avantlink df.
So maybe I can do something with both Avantlink and SAS dfs here to highlight different merchandise in different ways. Hmm ... my head hurts already. LOL!
Oh -- HLS is still going to be at SAS, too, isn't it?Generate more fake news.

Hi, I have a double question.
Are all the Avantlink datafeeds have the same 18 Field Names, and are the merchants using the default Avantlink Category and SubCategory for their products Category and SubCategory?
The reason I ask is because I don't like to find merchants switching their categories from one field to another with, or without warnings between datafeed updates, like a few merchants do for one reason, or another on SAS.

Sal, I think I understand your question..
We require eight fields from merchants, but encourage as many as they can give us. The *required* fields, though are SKU, Product Name, Short Description, Category, Thumb URL, Image URL, Buy Link, Retail Price.
Does this answer your question?

I just went to AvantLink and after I log in, I got a IE prompt and I said ok, but when I next went to join the HomelivingStyle program, I got the same prompt again.
I don't kow why I get that, because it's the first time I got that IE prompt anywhere else, so I closed the browser and reboot the computer just in case.
Here is what I get after I log in:

March 19th, 2008, 10:26 AM #14Over the past 18 hours I have received numerous e-mails about the HomelivingStyle's program now being live at AvantLink too. So I am making this post to clarify the two points that have been brought up in questions for a number of times.
(1) The launch at AvantLink does not mean that we plan on leaving ShareASale. It is not a move.
(2) An affiliate wrote: "I am easily confused. If I sign up at Avantlink that won't have any effect on the SaS links that I have up now will it? I intend to use the Avantlink tools on one site and the PopShop tools on another." -- Excellent! This is exactly what we hope this combination will bring to the table: a healthy balance of all the good things from the two networks that I personally believe to be the best ones out there. Some things that AvantLink has are not available at SaS (e.g. affiliate payments by PayPal, extensive use of RSS technology, etc), and conversely, ShareASale has also some tools and features that AvantLink does not.
We want you to be able to use the best features/tools of both.
