SteveWilliams, you asked me a question, but you can't receive PMs, here's your answer
Steve, you asked me about some cloning rippoff software you discovered somewhere... my answer:

There's no easy way to protect yourself from things like this, tools that automatically grab your content so copyright thieves can use it in their pages.

The more sophisticated your sites are, meaning database driven and dynamic, the harder it is for someone to grab a snapshot of it to truly copy it... meaning if you make dynamic tools that operate server side, they're very hard to copy statically.

You can also use a service like CopyScape to watch your content, to see when people copy it, then chase them (or their hosting company) down with DMCA notices.

Work on your site's being popular and don't worry too much about the little gnats copying you, largely, their content will get tagged as duplicate and the search engines will punish them eventually. Be original yourself and keep creating meaningful and compelling content and it'll all work out.

    Have fun!

Thanks for the info H, now I understand why my reply to his PM wasn't able to be sent.

Steve, bans are pretty rare here, the Mods give us lots of freedom - consider that carefully. Whatever you did to get banned, you need to reconsider your core thinking behind it.
