I am working on an idea to translat our feed and also having an option on our site to chose other languages.
Anybody have a need for these options?

Do you ship your products worldwise? If so, why not adding more languages? If no - why adding even those languages?
(btw - I couldn't connect to your site - connection reset for several times)

Adding translations to datafeeds costs time and/or money.
It is only worthwhile creating translations for countries that will supply enough traffic to justify the costs.
There is also the problem of character sets. US and Western European computers are primarily designed to use the US-ASCII characters so writing translations in for instance in Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew or Russian would be beyond the capabilities of most merchants on this forum.
As there are over 7000 languages (ISO 639-3 ) where should a merchant draw the line?
With regard to translations into Chinese would that be Mandarin, Cantonese, Simplified,Wu or ????

To answer your question yes we ship worldwide, not sure why you couldn't connect?
Yes it's expensive to convert and store 40,000+ products, that's why I was looking for input.
Well one example may be Spanish for selling in the USA.

And since you ship international, that's an even greater market for you. A friend who works here and travels part time venezuela told me recenly how he wishes more products from US were able to be ordered over there online. Lot's of others from Spain too, I know one or two affiliates looking for products for their spanish sites.
Perhaps start with the top selling most profitable pet products and their descriptions.

Thanks Jorge, that was my plan if I go forward to start with Spanish
then French Canadian. (we ship a lot to Canada now).
It's resonable investment in time and money, one issue brought up by my staff is credit cards, outside the US, Canada, Australia a few countries in Europe we require a wire or Western Union. That stops orders most of the time cold.
So now to reach out in another language in Spain or Venezuela for example and no credit cards......
