    Search and pagination algo?
I'm wondering roughly what parameters are used for the pagination and search functions.

Obviously the merchants used in that store is the start. After that I'm not sure. Key words used when picking products? Words in product titles? Words in Product description? Does it focus on most repeated words of certain length?

Good question - thanks for asking it. And along those same lines, if "broad results" vs "narrow results" in autofeed preferences could be explained too, that would be great!

The answer to my question came in the email from PopShops today...

    AutoFeed improvements (Pro & Enterprise)
You can now choose Broad (like it currently works) or Narrow results.

Broad matches ANY keyword you use with ANY merchant you have in your shop.

Narrow uses only EXACTLY your search criteria

    Hi,
The search algorithm is evolving, so I can't give you an exact answer. We are beginning the process of optimizing so you can expect them to get better. Currently we only search titles.

Joyaz, thanks for supplying that info. I'm a little behind on the ABW posts the last few days.

What about auto-feed? Roughly what does it draw from?

Aso regarding search, is there anything in the works to create a standalone search box? It would be nice if I could configure a merchant list for a sites searchbox that could be kept in a header or sidebar. But maybe I can just extract the code from one on a page?

It draws from the merchants and your keywords (see the above post).

Yes, we do have a search feature that is in the works which will allow PopShops users to add a search box to their site, designate a landing page, and set up a catalog of merchants. In addition, we have our API which will do essentially the same thing. It is currently in testing.

I'm feeling dense. Auto-feed draws from my keywords? Then where do my keywords come from?

    The search tool sounds great.
