    Hi All,

Just got a call from someone using Miva merchants affiliate software. Anyone know if it does decent tracking and reporting???

Does it handle 2 tier commissions? I can't find any detailed info about it.

    Thanks,

As far as I know the Miva.com shoppingcart/e-catalog software does not have 2 tier reporting capabilities just like Yahoo stores. Basic click and sales reporting from the online Admin section. Just go to Mivas developers forum and ask away within their very active forum. Custom HTML-Script programmers have been making all kinds of add-ins for years on this popular hosted cart/ecatalog.

Bonus for merchants is Miva's good simple interface to check off any major network's tracking code and merchant ID# and automatically get it placed on the final checkout page. You of course can do the affiliate sales tracking thing with a manual HTML script insert.

I'm an advocate of having the networks sponsor a standard customized shopping cart program like Miva and let the merchants populate it with their top selling products via the built in CVS inport feature. That way the affiliates cannot claim the networks or merchants aren't reporting all sales.

    Thanks Mike and Charlie,

Didn't think to try to track down a forum. Off I go. Appreciate your reply!
