Sorry to ask such a dumb question, but I guess being a newbie gives me the license to ask. Anyway, what do you need to do view a user's profile? Specifically a forum moderator said to check his profile for his email address but when I click on it it says to get administrator permission to view profiles. From where and who? Thanks for the help.

AFAIK, only moderators and affiliate program managers can view profiles.

Why that last group can view profiles and no-one else certainly is a strange way of doing things.

AMs so they can contact the affiliates directly.
Most AMs post full contact info so affiliates can contact them directly as well.

But what if we don't want our contact info available to some AMs? Not that that's the case, but it's an interesting situation.

Also, what information is in our profile?

    Em,

Go to your profile and depends on what you filled in is what is available for viewing. The exception is your email address which is required for registration, but you can make not viewable in your profile.

If you look at your own profile you will see all the info you put in there when you registered and that is all the info on your profile people will see!

I think that is correct, but not totally sure!

I personally think profiles should be open for all ABW members to view. We fill in our own profiles so obviously if there is something I don't want to be known, I am not going to put it in my profile. Also, we have the choice whether it can be seen or not by other members.

I use to enjoy checking out the profiles of some members and seeing the witty things they had in there. JMO of course
