    Going to Augusta
I am jumping on an airplane early Sunday and heading to Augusta Georgia to watch the practice round at the Masters. My stepfather-in-law got tickets in the lottery so off we go.

I love golf. Got to see all 4 rounds around 10 years ago and thought the National at Augusta might be one of the prettiest places on earth.

    Very excited to go again!

Have a great time. A (distant) relative of mine is a pro tour caddy. He loves his work. Love it better when they win ---more $$$. Nice time of year to go watch. The weather should be pretty comfortable.

Sounds like fun! We had the Ryder Cup in Rochester, NY a few years ago, it was amazing to watch.

I'm so jealous! I have been dying to go to the Master's for years and have not gotten there. My father has actually gone quite a few times and I bug him for tickets every year. He's actually taken my brother twice - some kind of male bonding ritual - so hopefully I'll be there in 2009!

I'm a golf nut as well (family in the golf biz) and my spring basically starts on Masters weekend. From my experience at big tournaments, the practice rounds are almost more fun. You can take pictures, everyone is a little more laid back and it's just an all around good atmosphere. Have a great time and take some pictures as Amen corner has got to be in the top 10 most beautiful places in the world!

Out of curiosity are there any golfers you're thinking about following?

    I'll try to follow 3:

    1. Phil Mickelson
    2. Adam Scott
    3. Fred Couples

    Love all 3!

Nice list - who doesn't love Phil and Freddie? Adam Scott, Camilo Villegas (his putting routine is great to witness firsthand) and Luke Donald (gorgeous swing) are probably my favorite young bucks. If you get a chance to watch Woody Austin it can be fairly entertaining. He's typically a bucket of nerves and is prone to throw the occasional temper tantrum. Plus he wears the ugliest shirts in golf (a pretty amazing feat when you come to think of it!)

I think Adam Scott has the most technically sound golf swing I have ever seen.

So true. I once had someone videotape my swing - it was pretty much the opposite of technically sound. I guess that's why I watch the pros!
