Post How Much Do You Spend On Ppc Marketing?
    Think you're an AdWords Champion?

Show off. Let us know why you're doing so well.

Feeling defeated because your PPC costs> Commissions?

Let us know, and let other ABWers who have been successful, help you out!

Not sure how much you should spend on a PPC campaign?

Take a look at what others are doing.

Remember there are no right answers. Just because one person does well by spending a certain amount, doesn't mean that's the right amount for your campaign. This survey is intended to gauge how experienced you and other users are in PPC marketing, and doesn't necessarily advocate it or reject it for your particular situation. I'd love to help you, in any way I can, through discussion.

Feel free to post or PM me any questions you have about PPC marketing. I am not an outsourced PPC manager, so please don't inquire about hiring me.

    A whopping $0.00

Edit: You need an option of "tried it, but spend $0" option.

    Hey Seymour,

Sorry to hear that. What happened? Were the keywords you bid on just extremely popular (highly competitive) or was it the opposite?

I've always found that it's hard not to get sucked into spending a TON on AdWords.

We rely solely on organic search.

Yes, the keywords were/are very competitive. In the end, the commission wasn't worth the cost of PPC.

I don't do PPC because I found it to be boring. Sometimes I'll dabble if I get a free credit but I don't like it. Organic search and word of mouth rock my socks.

    Visitourmall, Rhea7, and ProWebAddict,

That's not a bad strategy at all. Visit Our Mall seems to be doing very well without PPC marketing. Got any great tips on SEO to contribute to our readers?

I've revisited an old post from last July (sorry, I forgot who posted it) about getting linkbacks on Yahoo! Answers. Seems like a quick trick to up SEO. Another quick trick is to submit your site to CSS galleries (if you use CSS), who love posting links to great looking sites.

    Hey OTProf,

I guess I didn't adequately anticipate that possibility, but I guess you could vote at the average of the two (5K)...

Thanks for participating everyone! It'd be great to hear thoughts on the pros and cons of PPC marketing as an affiliates.

I have tried it but I spend nothing... I'd love an option in the poll for that. I tried it with a coupon from my web host.

Sure would like to know who claims $100,000 or more monthly.

Tips on getting organic search placement:

    1. Create a site in a niche you are willing to create substantial content about.
    2. Thoroughly research keywords associated with your niche.
    3. Take that list and see what kind of prequalifers you can add for slightly longer tailed keywords
    4. Continue to add relevent content daily if possible
    5. Interlink your own internal pages with relevant text links
    6. Find as many other relevent sites that will link to both your homepage and key internal pages.
    7. Go back to 2 and make sure you covered that and work your way back down the list over and over.

to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there
isn't and die to find out there is.

Financial Institutions & "others" spend one million a month and they use the affiliate channel as well.

Those numbers are per week, so monthly is 16-24k. I put 20-100k cuz it sounds so crazy!

    Hi,

I have not used any pay per click programs. I am only using methods that help me to drive traffic to my site free.

I'm reading a lot about PPC altough I have a very basic understanding of PPC I've not invested money in this area of on-line marketing. I do believe that this is a phenomenal way of generating an online income.

People that don't have established websites and don't plan to make their sites SEO friendly are lured by the idea of "instant traffic" using PPC when in reality it takes time and skill and a lot of trial and error before you can be successful with PPC. And IMO you are wasting your money if you are doing PPC direct to merchant without sending the traffic to your own website and your own landing page with your own presell and content.

Your money and time are better spent learning how to build real websites that add value to the shoppers to bring them a better shopping experience and give them a reason to return to your site and shop there continuously.
