April 7th, 2008, 11:28 PM #1What's up with Kowabunga! News <<SPAM>>
Never joined their network, never talked to them.
Got a spam mail today. WTF?
Welcome to the all new Kowabunga! News. It's been a while since we distributed a newsletter, and we are pleased to announce the launch of
our new series that will be distributed on the first Monday of every month.
As you probably know by now, we began doing business as Kowabunga!
on Monday, February 4th. The name, which became popular in 1960's surfer culture, when it was used to describe the exhilaration of riding a big ocean wave, was also the name of our well-known and leading affiliate marketing brand. We felt that it was the perfect name to reflect the excitement that we feel as a company and we look forward to shareholder approval to officially change the name later in the year.
The all new Kowabunga! News features the latest news and events going on within the company and throughout the industry. Check out our new sections and thoughts from our execs about hot industry topics and new technology! We also encourage our readers to interact with us through our very popular "Ask Scott" section and through our new "Affiliate Corner."
It's been a busy time for us at the corporate offices, and we have lots of new things to report, so get ready to ride a wave with us!
For more information about our name change, make sure to check out our
new company website at www DOT kowabunga DOT com.

Were you at the affiliate summit? I am getting a bunch of snail mail since attending - could be related.

Don't run a program and I make my moeny from merchants.
All of them are in the major networks.. No Indy.
Nope, did not attend Summit.
Best thing is, they even knew my first and last name.
They even have some BS about CAN SPAM ACT 2003 compliance at the bottom of the email. Huh??Ma, where the beer? :escape:

You probably signed up for a MyAP merchant somewhere along the lines (or perhaps are/were a PrimaryAds member). I received the same email, to the name/email address I had only given out to one merchant (because it was firstname.lastname@example.org) 3-4 years back.

This used to be the Think Partnership News, and the company rebranded to KowaBunga. Did you ever get news from Think Partnership, or use one of their companies?Brad Waller | VP, Business and Affiliate Development
