Video - Notebookreview sets things on fire?!
A plug i know, but this is pretty cool you've got to admit. The outside of the case was over 500F, yet the inside remained a cool 60F.

Unfortunately that is not all too impressive. You could probably do the same thing with any basic case. When you add a flammable liquid and set the case on fire, the liquid vapor is burning off and actually protecting the case. Give it time and the case will catch fire, but they just set it on fire and watch for a few minutes.

I remember a demonstration back in high school where you set a gauze pad soaked in alcohol on fire and put it out after ten seconds. The pad was still cool and unburned.

Now, drop the case into a fireplace with a fire that's been burning for 15 minutes and show me the results. That would impress me.

It's okay if you're not impressed. It takes a lot to impress me too. My goal was simply to drop a hint as to interesting ways affiliates could promote our products.

We did have one poor guy tell us his house burnt down and he lost everything but his cd collection (link). I thought that was kind of impressive.

Plus that thermostat was all over the place. When it was pointed towards that bag it jumped anywhere from 0 - 500. And to add in what Brad said, heat, flames rise, the laptop was at the bottom separated in the compartment.

I agree with you both that it's nothing amazing. Maybe what I should have said here is that this is a pretty cool way for an affiliate to promote a product.

Other than beating on and setting ablaze the products, what other creative ideas could an affiliate use to promote products like these?
