    Moniker Marketplace
I got an email from Moniker Marketplace that reads...

    Dear domain owner,
Thank you for submitting your domain names for sale at the Moniker Marketplace. In order to ensure that you want to sell your domain names, we ask that you confirm the listings by clicking the link below.

    (confirmation link removed)

Confirm you want to sell your domain names now.

Seller Id: (5 digit seller id removed)

    Domain: (MyDomainRemoved).com

    Thank you,
    The Moniker Marketplace Team
So what, you ask? I didn't submit my domain to them! This is one of the oldest and most trafficked sites I own. I did click the confirmation link to see what was going on but didn't confirm the listing.

I'm wondering if someone is trying to get the domain listed for sale? Did this person own a similar name and enter it incorrectly? Is this a blind solicitation to see if I'd like to sell the name?

Haw anyone else had this happen? Does anyone have a contact within Moniker that I could call to chat with about this?

I have checked the domain, it has not been hijacked and is still reg'ed to me.

It could be a mistake, someone mis-typing or mis-spelling, maybe a plural when they meant the singular, etc..

Moniker gets a ton of submissions. Their problem is too many submissions. They don't need to do stuff like this to get business.

In any event, Moniker's email verification process appears to have worked.
