Was going through a site looking for a gif to use and I got these on a freakin drivebye. msmgt.exe
and from what I can tell MS T-MEDIA DISPLAY

msmgt.exe only get some vague info on google search and it looks like a relatively new problem. I'm trying to get more info than what I can locate so far. Have run adaware, spybot, anti virus and it has not picked any of this up. My firewall did pop up they were trying to get in and also send out info which were denied but I still ended up with these. Had a partial gator download trying to get in as well. What a scary site I visited. People with sites like that need to be taken off the net.
The msmgt.exe shows in the start up menu in reg cleaner but I am not certain if this is more than something I can just delete safely from start up portion in reg cleaner, or in the c:/windows/applications files

While I was checking for what had tried to get in my computer in add/remove programs have found the previously unknow MS T-Media display program in it. Tried to remove program a few times but nothing happens.

Anyone know of these things and how to safely remove.

Popped into one of those free clipart hell holes. Scumbags running those are as bad as the porn popup pushers and 3rd world free hosting and free BBS sites. Sounds like a backdoor trojan wanting to call out to their bundling partners telling them they have some fresh meat. Someone pimping for Gator or WhenU like the sleezebag ISP hosting companies "pink slip" spamming operations when the .com bombs fell.

    Mike & Charlie ...

If they won't adopt and feed a bird ..flip them one! BBQ some Gator and remember to flush WhenU..

Tell us how you really feel about them Mike
Past little while I am utterly afraid to even visit sites because of the crap people are putting to download on a visitor. It's going to get to the point that no one will go to any site for fear of this going on.

Now if I could figure out wtf they are

Most of the drive-by downloads use Active-X. I
have all Active-X set to prompt on my computer,
    I haven't gotten any drive-by downloads since
    doing this.

Mine are all and were set to prompt also but will go about and recheck in case something is still amiss. Even with these settings some such as gator and this new one find a way in.
Google had updated some pages and found this in another forum about this latest issue. post of fixing this problem
How long before computer users throw up there hands in discust and leave the web permanently because they get the impression the web isn't safe because of these things being downloaded. How without some web savvy would they even know where to fix it????
