    approaching merchants through cj
    I am launghing a factory oulet based website and was wondering how it would be best to approach new affiliates. My website is not yet active but there is a sample site set up. I am in the process of getting all of the catagorization set up(which is a pain with the limited cj info).

    So my question is should I just start applying for affiliates through cj or should I email, call, or sent a written presentation then call?

    Do merchants accept aplications easlily through cj?

    I just don't want to affect any future progress by approaching in the wrong way.

    Can I request better data feed info or would that be considered rude?

    suggestions?

    You mean new merchants as an affiliate. Just so people understand what you are asking.

    It's best to either say publisher or affiliate when referring to yourself and advertiser or merchant when referring to the company.

    Saying merchant affiliates is not an accurate term.

    my terminology is not helping
    sorry that was dumb. I am a Publisher/Affiliate looking to approach Advertisers/Merchants.

    You can just apply, most auto approve. The ones that don't and reject you, if they're a merchant you really want, most of the time I've found a nice email usually does the trick.
