    Who knows about Typepad?
I've always done blogs with WordPress, hosting them on my own domain. But in recent days I've swapped a few forum posts on another forum with people who are considering using Typepad.

So anyone here know anything about Typepad? Any success stories with Typepad, or "horror stories"?

Pros and cons of Typepad, anyone?

I heard some recent blogs about it too and remember checking them out:

    http://www.typepad.com/pricing/

Doesn't look like anything is free. There's also http://www.movabletype.org/

But haven't heard anything recent (good) about them.

But curious if there is anybody here that uses Typepad or Movabletype and how do you like it?

Thanks for posting those links. Didn't check out Moveabletype, but I did look at the pricing for Typepad.

My first reaction was why pay Typepad a monthly fee when I can host WordPress for free?

Then, of course, I realized someone wanting only to blog could find Typepad and its pricing a good deal. I didn't look closely, but I assume the fee includes web hosting and support? So, if you only wanted to blog, that might be a pretty good deal.
