Wordpress 2.5.1 Bug & Security Fix & Enhancement
There's already an update been posted, apparently they found a security issue and some bugs that needed fixing, and did a few enhancements as well:

I just did an installation yesterday (by hand), might as well nuke it and start over again.

As did I. Thanks for the news. Good thing I didn't even start as it is so much easier on my little heart to erase it now rather than later!

Didn't the automatic update plugin work for you?

If you haven't tried the automatic update plugin, please give it a whirl. I haven't upgraded to 2.5 yet because I was waiting a month for this "bug fix and enhancement" reason (it happens every time). I just started yesterday organizing my various plugin upgrades, etc. since I have WP on many sites.

I installed the automatic plugin last time for bringing all my sites up to 2.3.3. It was a piece of cake compared to the usual manual checklist.

Just used that automatic upgrade plugin today to upgrade one 2.5 to 2.5.1, and one ancient (LOL!) 2.3.2 to 2.5.1.

Worked flawlessly in both cases. Highly recommend installing that auto upgrade plugin on all WP blogs.

There weren't any plugins at all installed yet, that's how soon it was. I was looking around for some when I saw the update and manually updating looks more complicated than a fresh install.

I've got a couple of unused domains available for fooling with, so I'll try customizing and tweaking a bit to try to get close to a cms/static site (trying magazine type themes). I don't have a clue yet, so it'll be a major project digging into it all. I've got one WP blog up, but the update method used has been "my daughter does it."

Man I'm glad I stopped by here. That plugin is sweet. I did one with the auto and the other with the near-auto version, and both worked fine. Very fast!
