Time to stock up on Forever stamps
"Time to stock up on Forever stamps"

At the cost of an additional penny, I'm not sure if I'd waste time standing in line for a "Forever stamp" but here's the info:

Bought mine at Costco - in line for other things anyway and saved .01/ with their discount and will save another .01/ after the rate-raise.

Yeah, with automatic bill payment on a lot of stuff I buy maybe one 'book' of stamps a year.

Under the new law, postal prices will be adjusted each May, the Postal Service said.

    Hooray! Increases every year!

Same here. I don't think it'd be worth it to "stock up" per se, but I did make sure the last book I bought was of the Forever variety.

This is a little ridiculous. I wish when they raise it, it would be something worthwile. They're raising it a whole penny.

"and postal officials said they printed an additional 1.5 billion 1-cent stamps in anticipation of the demand."

It's not only a penny rise for shipping packages. The Flat Rate Box is going up to $9.80--a raise of 85c! And other package rates are also going up quite a bit.

I'm not in favor of any increase. Higher shipping charges make shopping online less attractive.
