    Homework for Gary
    Go get Cabela's...... Please?

Lost the merchant I was going to use for terminal tackle at SAS, so I need one, and while Bass Pro converts, Cabela's has a selection better suited for my traffic, on many levels.

I think Avantlink is clearly distinguishing itself as the place to sell outdoors merchandise through VALUE ADDED affiliates. All the big companies would do well to sit down with you.

Kevin, we'll certainly see if we can start a discussion with them. Thanks!

    +1

I am personally thrilled to be an Avantlink affiliate. The outdoor category is a perfect match for me.

AlpineZone, that's a hell of a endorsement as I remember you from my Backcountry days.

Ha! I still have your Yahoo IM name popping up from time to time! I never had a lot of success with the affiliate marketing thing until I discovered Avantlink's datafeed client. I simply never had the time to program a custom datafeed solution. Their datafeed client makes it stupid easy, which is good for me...

That's funny! I was playing with it last night for my dad's site and threw a datafeed together in 15 minutes. Need to tweak the meta tags and see if I can learn some quick CSS.

CSS For Dummies makes it simple, Chuck. I refer to it daily. It actually came in a great For Dummies volume called Creating Web Pages, which although basic, still is a great reference to have around.

Will have to check that out. I have never tried to be a designer but can hack the hell out of HTML and did some dBase back in the day.

I do need an easy to use graphic editor to crop some images.

I use the open source Graphics program called the Gimp. It's not photoshop, but it's free, which Photoshop isn't

It looks intimidating when you first launch it, but I use so few of the features, it ends up being really simple.

I started it DFL. I can derail it if I want.... It's Hamrick's fault though.

On Cabela's. They do have a program through another network, but it's not accepting applications at the moment. I was counting on Gary to fix that ;p
