This couldn't be spam , because it appears to be a real TV show , (I checked) , but it's too weird and I'm a bit confused .

Surely, someone else here must have recieved the same email ???
Here's what the email says :
    <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>

You've been invited to appear as an industry expert for our nationally syndicated "Health & Lifestyles" television program. Call me immediately to discuss the details. I can be reached at (954) ###-#### ext: ###, M-F 8:30-5:30 EST.

    Regards,

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Wonder what the heck it is they think I'm qualified to be an "industry expert" on ?

They didn't even send this to the email on the web site that I'm actually making money with, they emailed this thru the addy on an old abandoned freebies site ???

Is this some kind of a joke ?

The ABW members like yourself and representatives from the major Parasites - now that would be a great "reality TV" talk show, but, may be better suited for the Jerry Springer show

I've had a few of these emails but I haven't followed through because I'm on the other side of the world.

Don't know what the deal is but it appears to be a cable lifestyle program.

An industry expert at what? Sounds like a scam to me. Call and let us know what it is about.

I got one today that said they wanted to feature my products in their catalog. (Real Catalog, I checked too)
Mine had a very similar tag line to the one you received.

The problem is, I don't have any products of my own.
Maybe it's legit or maybe it's one of those numbers that charge you $$$$$ per minute.

    Personally, I think it's Bullshrimp!

I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand. You obviously are pursuing a lifestyle many people would be interested in.

My father wrote a cookbook that sold maybe 20 copies and he was a guest on a cooking show.

Another friend who has a skateboard website was asked to go on Nickelodian. And he did.

    So it does happen.

Of course, if they start asking for money or mention Jerry Springer then run.

Better spin that right or the viewers will try to do you a favor and "save your relationship"--by NOT buying, and encouraging you to give it up and get a regular j*b instead!

Isn't anything you didn't ask for SPAM? It is for me. Maybe for some it's didn't ask for and didn't want.

    It is SPAM.

Trust, I doubt any of us here would have to make up any problems to get on Dr. Phil!
We could keep him busy for years!

If I get on Oprah, I will gladly wear your shirt! Or better yet, I will take her a free parasiteware shirt!

Its a tough call...It could be legit. I often invite musicians to the radio station, however, when I do, the letter isn't cut and paste. I go into detail what its about and what I want them for, etc.

If this e-mail is legit, I would think some more detail would have been provided. In fact, now that I think about it, everyone I know in this industry goes into some detail when sending an invitation to appear on a show.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND HELP GORDON GET HIS NEW SHIRT...(He Needs....He Wants it....Grrrrrr)
