    Bass on the Fly Rod
Doesn't get much better than this. River smallmouths on a 5wt fly rod. Took a black woolie bugger. Was released moments later, and will live to fight another day. Couldn't get to this spot with out a kayak, which is now my favorite possession.

I feel you Kevin, nothing better than a quiet paddle into a remote spot and feeling the strike as they attack the fly. Great picture, and good to see you are out casting and relaxing!

RG - check with your local fly shop. They all offer introduction to fly fishing classes and you will probably love it.

Right on Alan, everyone who has an interest should check with their local fly shop.

Not only did I feel this strike, but the water was clear enough that I saw this bass inch out from under the stump he was under as the fly was drifting by, I gave a twitch, and he couldn't help himself.

He came rocketing up and grabbed it just below the surface. It was a great moment.
