    Drop the puck!
Probably logistically impossible, but I wanted to kick around the idea of a charity hockey game. It's been done to great effect by, you know, famous people, but I don't know if there's any way the skaters mongst us could pull this off.

    Just throwing it out there.

I have a full set of goalie gear collecting dust in my basement, I'd consider playing depending on the location.

How about in Boston during Affiliate Summit?
There are probably others, but those were the ones I found.

WTP Kevin!! You must have been reading my thoughts! Great idea. As a former star goaltender who later coached the ice lot players, I could contribute as an inspirational leader.

I still have my old "hockey wardrobe" from the 70's and 80's, complete with the high collar white dress shirt (heavily starched), a wide tie that fights with the rest of my outfit really well, white belt and shoes, wide lapeled plaid sportscoat and matching pants, cut tight of course to accentuate my rock hard a**!! So I could coach one of the teams or take a seat in the color booth next to my biological twin, Don Cherry!!

I spent a lot of time on the floor (as we called it) back in my hockey days too Trust. Especially after a big win and the after game celebration at the local bar!

Now that there's been a Don Cherry reference, we have to make this happen.

Do I hear cries for 'Coley the Goalie" drifting down from the cheap seats?

You've met me. Do I look like I have any athletic ability at all? I'll be the fan in the crowd, sitting in the cheap seats.

You look spry to me Coley. When that prime rib was put out, you ran a 4.3 forty.

I think I saw you in that stuff in Scottsdale last fall. It looked great on ya kid. Now let's get back to some good old fashion hockey trash talk, Eddie Shore style!!

    Michael,

Have a few Red Bulls and you would do great in between the pipes!

I love "Grapes". Living in BC for the last 23 years and watching CBC HNIC (Hockey Night in Canada) almost every Saturday, you grow to either love him or hate him. I love the way he approaches the game.

Boy, this thread takes me back a few years. I played on my high school team for 3 years and on two traveling teams, one in Deerfield and one in Lincolnshire, Illinois in the sixties. Played for 12 years while we were in Illinois and they were great years! I still skate and do a little "puckin around" in the winter before heading to FL to fish, but always love skating with my sons and making believe that I'm a "mature" Sydney Crosby!
