uhhh hadn't seen that before. I sure hope there's some reasonable explanation for it and some idiot didn't dye it that color cos if they did that wouldn't be good for the little fella. He is adorable regardless the color.

ok, ya got me there so I watched the Hawaiian green puppy too. was funny watchin his little mouth with the teeth movin while he was talkin.

That was a humorous interjection by Keith Olbermann. (That particular video clip was from Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC.)

Oh.... Good... Must've been too busy of a Friday for me, I guess.

Why are his paws and noze so red though?

I was wondering the same thing. I would guess that it was caused by the same thing that produced green fur.

Looks like it's covered in grass stainage, to me. So, I vote for a (harmless) dye job, perhaps done by rubbing grass or grass "juice" on its fur.

Same exact shade as some ex-white canvas sneakers I once had. After walking through newly-mown grass, they were never white again.

Hahaha! I've seen that happen before in puppies that were stuck in the birth canal for too long. Without being gross, a hunter green discharge in canine births is normal (too much, bad sign and need a c-section) A pale coated dog like that that gets stuck in the birth canal while the placenta begins to break down the fur will take on that hue.

I've never seen it happen on an all white pup, but saw it several times on beagles. Where they were white, they were green It generally wore off in a few days.

Not sure I want to see a Glow In The Dark Kitten either

Ah, so the "dye" is even more natural than I thought!

Cool to know, though... not that I expect to be seeing any puppy births here.
But, I didn't expect to see any the *last* time I did, either...

(Picked up a stray, kept her, and about a month later, surprise! She had been carrying some completely unexpected passengers!)

LOL, yup! Now, let just hope they don't bottle it and market it for Halloween and Rave clubs! Ok, all together now "ewwwwwwww"

So did you keep the stray or the any of the little passengers?
