Did anyone else receive one of these? I searched ABW for this member as well as associated keywords but came up empty handed.

haha, I just checked and nimrod is the real email address.

"A nimrod may refer to a silly or foolish person. This usage most likely originated with the classic cartoon character Bugs Bunny, who referred to Elmer Fudd as a "poor little Nimrod. ..."

I know it has other meanings as well but the one I quoted seems right. For a second, I thought you might have changed it but nope, that was it

So how do you separate "affiliate marketing" from spam? Did this person intentionally try to market to an ABW member...is that the reason it's considered spam?

I can see how it is a spammy message, and I'm just playing devil's advocate here. Is the reason because it was send to an ABW member from an ABW member?

The sender was sending unsolicited emails to addresses obtained from the ABW membership. He was using ABW resources for his own gain without paying for those service. That's a no no...

Afilyit: It's spam because they are recruiting affiliates using the internal email system. They weren't "affiliate emails" per se, meaning they weren't trying to sell something. They were recruiting emails.

The folks above didn't specifically point that out to you (although, if you read the first post, it was pretty clear).

Not only that, but his only post here on ABW was spam as well. (It's been deleted.)
