So, what did you do with your 2008 Tax Stimulus Payment?
So, what did you do, or what do you plan to do, with your 2008 Tax Stimulus Payment. (No politics, please!)

Mine went to bills the day after it hit my bank account.

    Haven't seen a check yet.

If I ever get one, I will use it to pay my taxes.

Haven't got anything yet, but if I do and its a decent amount I might put it towards a new computer.

No check yet. But when I get it, I'll probably invest some of it in a new avatar.

Haven't gotten mine yet, but I've gotten two letters saying that I'm going to get it. It's going toward credit card bills and savings. Our money won't be stimulating the economy at all.

Same here. I don't want to put it and another $1000 towards a big screen TV and get more in debt. I am more interested in paying down bills.

I assume you already know this, but just in case...keep an eye out on stuff at Dell outlet. Nice prices on systems that are pretty sweet with a good warranty. I am on my 2nd "previously ordered new" system now and you just can't beat the price.

We'll get ours in July probably.

Scenario 1: Deposit in savings account. (Eventually to be spent on home repairs, I'm sure.)
Scenario 2: Downpayment on new car to replace hubby's 15 year old Nissan NX.

    Ain't life grand?

I was thinking more like a Macbook Pro. I haven't owned a PC for over 3 1/2 years and never plan to go back.

We haven't gotten ours yet - and when we do it will be for less than the "advertised' amount. We'll most likely use it to travel somewhere. (But, Mrs. Beachy might have the "last word"' on that. )

Ours was deposited right on time directly into our account. It came on the heels of our unexpected tax refund, so we've just been enjoying our frequent trips to Home Depot and the garden centers again. We got a new lawn mower in February and with next year's refund, we're going to buy some gas for it and try it out.

Speaking of gas, I'm probably going to spend my check on filling up my SUV a couple of times. (if I'm lucky).

Pay down a credit card, closer that balance drops to zero, more I get stimulated, hehe.

Not sure what I'm going to spend it on but definitely not savings. I've been saving and think I'm going to spend the money on something fun... maybe a new wake board or kite surfer (which I haven't tried yet)

I left in the bank to draw some interest for now. Really didn't need it all that much, but extra money never hurts.
