Difference Between click? and stat? In Links
Probably nothing but was just wondering if anybody knew the difference between click? and stat?

Was just finishing up some loose ends, going thru my email and with email links I see at the beginning of the link:

    click. linksynergy.com /fs-bin/ stat?

and with links thru the interface I see

    click. linksynergy.com /fs-bin/ click?

    Thanks.

Hmmm you are the observant one. lol Hadn't noticed that til you mentioned it. Now that ya did lol ya got me curios so .....I've only checked thru 5 or 6 maybe merchant emails and all but one is having the click in the email and is same at LS. The one jewelry merchant (Szul) has stat in the email and if you get a link from LS it has click.

Weird thing tho is if ya go to create links you'll land on the page where ya can get the links. On that page it has their clearance sale link. In it it has the stat. But, if ya click on and create a link yourself, it has the click?? Weird.

To answer your question...don't have a clue what it means.

maybe they are trying to balance the load on the server by having different files handle different merchants etc.

I'm very interested in an explanation for this discrepancy and was hoping Michael Coley has some insight.

I think "click" is used for normal links and "stat" is used for some dynamic links, like search boxes. I'm not positive, though. Someone from Linkshare might be able to clarify.

Hopefully somebody from LS would know. The click and stat can be found with the same type of links, in my case, I was getting text links.
