    WM-Field - Replace Option
Is it possible to replace commas (,) with dashes (-)? I tried the command below and it wasn't working...

    [WM-Field: Field_020 replace(",","-")]

I know the command works as I have used it for different characters....just not commas.

I'll look into that for the next beta build of v2.5. I'm working on a couple other bug reports now, but expect to have a new beta this week.

    Thanks for the report.

    Richard,

How is the next beta release coming along? You mentioned it might be ready for this week? Just curious as I as waiting for a couple of issues to be resolved (that were to be addressed in the next release) before putting my website live. If it isn't ready...no big deal.

    Have a great long weekend!

There's a couple reported issues I've been having trouble reproducing, and I like to address all reports between builds if possible so it's put the release back a few days.

Aside from the comma issue with replace, which others are you waiting for? I may be able to kick out this next build sooner, but I want to make sure I don't miss something you need.

    Thanks -

    Richard,

No problem on the delay. Being a programmer myself, I understand how this can happen.

    The other issue is was:

"The problem is I am trying to limit the number of products on the SubCategory page. When I do this the category page needs to be serialized with a #. When I do this, the subcategory url on the category page is now invalid due to the number added. Anyway around this?"

This was discussed in the following thread:

I can confirm that both of those issues have been completed for the next beta:
    - using commas with the "replace" option
    - providing a new option in the Index Pages tab so that the first index page has no serial number.

While I was working on the latter I found a couple related issues with index pagination, and fixed those as well.

If I can't get the info from the other testers I'll need to reproduce the issues they reported, I'll package up the latest on Monday so you can get back to work.

    Will that work for you?

WebMerge 2.5 Beta 3 has just been posted for testing:

This build addresses the issue with using commas with the replace option in the WM-Field tag. Please verify this fix. Thanks.
