    I have a travel site and I just received this email. Maybe ShareASale can notify them that spamming while providing a link to ShareASale's website is not acceptable.

    Why is this "spam"? I've been reading these forums, and people say it's perfectly acceptable to send personal emails to recruit. Please clarify.

    It's spam because his product has absolutely nothing to do with my website and he obtained the email address he used through my WHOIS domain info. The only network I use that email address for is Performics.

    If he took 2 seconds to look at my website, he would know his products would not be a fit at all.

    I should have read your post more carefully. I run a music based web site, and it's amazing how many times I receive such emails with a similar sentence regarding products with absolutely no relation to music. I think the last one was about real estate.

    It's crazy to me that merchants do this. It is pretty easy to find relevant affiliate sites using google, much less a more complex tool.
